The Circle by Mircea Veroiu
Several men, coming from various walks of life and having different careers, quietly and separately prepare themselves for a mysterious meeting which will take place high up on the roof of a tall building, just like in American crime thrillers. The relationship between them is unclear and so are the reasons as to why they end up engaging in a spectacular duel across (the seemingly) interwar Bucharest, but the clash is as serious as it gets.
