MEDA or THE NOT SO BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS by Emanuel Parvu
The debut feature tells the story of Doru, a lumberjack, widower for a week. After his wife’s death, Doru finds out he will have to take Meda- the child they had in foster care for 8 yearsback to the orphanage. He is ready to do whatever it takes to keep Meda and he thinks that,if he would get some money, he would be able to file himself for foster caring Meda. But Doru has no money.
During the 6 days of the narration, from a serious man, having principles and refusing to do illegal things, Doru turns into a man tormented by the impossibility of keeping Meda in the family.
