An Ordinary Afternoon by Dan Pița
A young railroad worker, played by Florin Zamfirescu, is getting ready for a date, in a modest hotel room, with a girl that we never get to see, because she doesn’t arrive anymore. Dan PiÈ›a’s short film presents the detailed ritual of the protagonist, who is very excited about the adventure to come, while the jazz music which accompanies his moves creates an intensely refreshing atmosphere and it alludes to the young romantic stories of the French New Wave – in the latter case, however, love nevertheless ended up being experienced in most cases, despite the numerous obstacles that had to be overcome.
